Our History
My name is Da-sha Wilson. Starting 413Kicks became a goal of mine as I volunteered in an elementary school and saw an actual need for children to have new sneakers. Branching from my own love for various forms and brands of footwear, I hope 413Kicks reaches children who are in need especially in Springfield, Massachusetts. This nonprofit organization wants to help reduce bullying and to make kids feel special as they receive new kicks. We also want to lessen the worry that families carry as they try to provide a new pair for their child. As I dwell on the history, the future of 413Kicks will not only donate sneakers to the kids but to homeless adults as well.
Our Mission
413Kicks focuses on donating new sneakers to children locally and one day to children across the world. Families should never have to choose between paying bills and giving their kid a decent pair of sneakers. In addition to giving to children, adult-sized sneakers will be given to those in transition around the city. I hope to make a positive long-lasting impact in Springfield and surrounding areas as we brighten smiles by Building Connections and Collections.
